Life of a Blogger: Siblings

Life of a Blogger is a weekly feature hosted by Jessi of Novel Heartbeat. Each week, we share a little about ourselves and our real lives so we can get to know the people behind the blogs!

This week we're talking about siblings. I'm lucky enough to have two awesome brothers: Dan and Scott. Technically they're my half brothers, but we're fairly close and I'm also close with their dad's side of the family. They are both a lot older than me (14 years and 12 years), so we're kind of half a generation apart. That didn't stop my brother Scott from teasing me non-stop when I was little! He constantly would flick me in the back of the head when we were driving and once pushed me down, stood on my hair and poked me, saying "Get up Megan! Get up!"

These days I don't see my brother Dan as much as I'd like, since he lives a 10 hour drive away. I see my brother Scott fairly often, since he's only an hour away.

Did I mention they're both cowboys!?

I'd love to here about your siblings!

  1. Ahh sibling love, gotta adore it. ;) I am glad that you guys are close despite the age difference. I only have half siblings as well but sadly aren't very close to either of them although I would like to be but years and lots of miles between us keep that from happening.

  2. Older brothers sounds like fun! I have two older sisters, which is also great! They do live far from me. Last year I moved to the Caribbean and they live in the Netherlands (where I was born and raised). Miss them a lot, but in four weeks I'm going to visit them. yay! for summervacation. :)

  3. Oh, I always wished for an older brother. I had to content myself with being the oldest of FOUR sister though. Two of them are technically half-sisters, but I don't think of them like that--they're just my sisters ;)

  6. That's cool you're so close despite the age difference! I'm the oldest of 5 kids and the next one is 5 years younger and then they are all 2 years apart after that. So I was kind of a second mom and I never really played with them a lot. I guess when I was really young but by the time my brother could play I'd kind of outgrown those kinds play. Now that we're older we're closer but rarely see each other. We're lucky if it's once a year.

  7. It's great that you are close despite the age difference and being half-siblings. I love your stories about your brother Dan - sounds like me and my brother. We love each other so much, we had to tease and torture each other ;) Great pics too!

  8. There was a seven years difference between me and my brother and I was the youngest, it's nice that you're really close to them though- even with such an age difference! :)
