Paranormal Reading Challenge: Angels/Nephilim

Wow, can you believe the first month of 2013 is already over? That means we're wrapping up Vampires and moving on to Angels and Nephilim. Angels have always been a hit or miss creature for me, but thank goodness I've had some luck and found some favourites. In books, I loved Unearthly by Cynthia Hand and I'm excited to continue the series. Also, I'm a fan of supernatural and I love Castiel. Two great examples of angels I like.

And don't forget Nephilim. I'm sure for many readers like me, when you think of Nephilim, you think of Cassandra Clare's Shadowhunters. To be honest, I'm still on the fence a bit. I loved the first three books of The Mortal Instruments, but the 4th book disappointed me, so I stopped reading, preferring to pretend the series stopped after book three (it tied up so neatly!).

As for my plans for this month, I'm keeping my options open. I will read at least one of the following:
Angelfall by Susan Ee
A Shimmer of Angels by Lisa M. Basso
Embrace by Jessica Shirvington

I'd love to hear what you'll be reading this month and be sure to link up your reviews to our linky for a chance to win this month's prize (TBA). Plus you have a couple more days to link your January reviews here before we give away the awesome prizes!

  1. Oh no you can't stop after CoFA! CoLS is better than CoFA. Man I almost didn't make it through CoFA I was so upset with wjat was going on with Jace but it is so much better in CoLS.However, I would suggest you wait till maybe beginning of next year to read CoLS bc CoHF doesn't come out until 2014,which is killing me.O got to know if Jace and Clary can finally be together without something trying to tear them apart. Ok so February read I started Boundless today and will be reading Embrace,Entice, and Emblaze.

  2. Whoops, there was some confusion on my part as to the monthly feature. I was following the order of the original list you gave me, didn't see the second on on your Challenge page. Silly me >.< Had to revert to draft because of confused comments, but I'll get it back up when I get home from work. Sorry bout that!

  3. I fan girl squealed with I saw Cass!! I <3 him even more that he came to Edmonton!!

I am slowly plugging through Finale by Becca Fitzpatrick.......and I mean slowly. Its seems 2 months in a row I have picked a book that is challenging me to finish. I liked the 1st 2 books and hated the 3rd.
