Cover Compare: Crewel
Recently they did my least favourite things publishers can do to a series to Crewel by Gennifer Albin: a mid-series cover change. I absolutely hate it when covers change midseries, especially when they change for the worse. Luckily for me, I hadn't bought this one yet. But I definitely love the old cover much more! The new cover is fine (I probably even would have liked it if it was for a new book), but it's nowhere near as special as the new cover. What do you think?

I hate the new cover. I got the old cover in hardcover from the publisher and am so sad that they're not sticking with that same theme. It was just so beautiful! The new covers just seem so much like everything that's already out there. :(
ReplyDeleteI think the first cover was way better, the new one is kind of blah and so similar to everything else.
ReplyDeleteThe first cover is so much prettier! I'm one of those people who likes all my covers in a series to match so a mid-series cover change would drive me nuts!
