Review Copy Cleanup/Bout of Books Goals

So this month I'm doing to reading challenges. First, August is Review Copy Cleanup 2.0. I have a ton of review books to read, so here is my goal list:

1. Weight of Night by C.L. Stegall
2. Blood of Anteros by Georgia Cates
3. Fractured Light by Rachel McClellan
4. Blood Jewel by Georgia Cates
5. Shadowfell by Juliet Marillier
6. One Ghost Per Serving by Nina Post

Assuming I finish Weight of Night in the next couple days, my goals for Bout of Books will be Blood of Anteros, Fractured Light and A Temptation of Angels by Michelle Zink.

Wish me luck!

Review Copy Cleanup 2.0

I took part in the first Review Copy Cleanup and had a blast (although I'm still miles behind on my reviews). So when I saw Review Copy Cleanup 2.0, I couldn't wait to sign up. See you August 1st!

Review Copy Cleanup - Love Will Find a Way

In the Love Will Find a Way Challenge we're sharing our all-time favourite books. If you were stuck on an island, or in a cave, which books would you bring? We're not limiting you to bring a certain amount of books, so give us your best!

Can I bring my entire bookshelf? No? Darn! Anyway, so this challenge, I would bring all the Harry Potter books and some favourite books from my childhood that will remind me of home. So those would include Anne of Green Gables (which reminds me of my dad), Black Beauty (which reminds me of my mom and my horse) and probably a Wrinkle in Time and Divergent because I just bought them last week! Besides that, I would load up my kindle with as many books as possible and hope that my cave/island has an electrical outlet!

Review Copy Cleanup - Mysterious Meetup Challenge

In the Mysterious Meetup Challenge you can have that conversation with your favourite book character of all times. Who would you want to meet? What questions would you ask him or her? Share your Mysterious Meetup with us!

For my mysterious meetup, I would choose to meet Hermione Granger! Not only is she awesomely smart and brave and generally kicks butt, but I hope she could teach me a spell or too and maybe help me out with my potions homework. And if the fact that she can do better than Ron came up, well...

Check out everyone else's mysterious meetups by stopping here!

Review Copy Cleanup - Don't Be Such a Tease

The Don't Be Such a Tease challenge is all about being the biggest tease possible. We are all reading books that aren't published yet, and what is more fun than showing other readers how awesome your current read is! The challenge is to share a few sentences from the RCC book you are reading right now, so we can all get a little taste.

Because I used my current read for Teaser Tuesday here (I haven't gotten much reading done thanks to midterms), I'm grabbing one I haven't started yet and giving a little tease! This teaser comes from The White Oak by Kim White, which I haven't started yet, but it seems pretty cool from this teaser!

"From up here I can see everything: the myserious river that brought me here, the barren plain of Asphodel, and the black river Tartarus - wide as an ocean, with a giant leaden sphere, the size of a small planet, rotating in its oily waters."

Review Copy Cleanup - Cuddle Up With a Book

This is my bed, where most of my reading is done. I read a lot on my laptop, since I share the kindle with my boyfriend and I don't want to clutter it up! The only problem is I sometimes get distracted on the internet when I mean to be reading! I love reading in bed because it's super comfy and when I get really tired, I can lean my head against the windowsill. Plus I can just close my eyes and fall asleep anytime. In case you're wondering, my reading buddies in this picture from left to right are: Caped Carl (you can't really see it, but he wears a cape), Mystic and Pinky!

Review Copy Cleanup - the Show Off Your Pile Challenge

The Show Off Your Pile Challenge is very simple. All you have to do is share what you are planning to read (or have read already!) this month during the Review Copy Cleanup. Feel free to take a photo of your TBR pile you are aiming to devour this month - or if you don't have a camera at hand or you're reading ebooks, just make a list of your books or post the cover image. Not only can we then spy on you what you're reading, but you can also win some very cool books in the first giveaway of the Cleanup!

Books I will read for this challenge (for sure):
Gate to Kandrith - Nicole Luiken
The White Oak - Kim White
Royal Street - Suzanne Johnson
Worlds Burn Through - Vicki Keire

Books I would like to read for this challenge (in a perfect world):
Beauty in the Beast - Christine Danse
The Zona - Nathan Yocum
Pure - Julianna Baggott
Queen of Swords - Katee Robert
The Woman Who Loved Jesse James - Cindi Myers
Bite Me - Parker Blue
