Cover Compare: The Coldest Girl in Coldtown

Yesterday I reviewed The Coldest Girl in Coldtown and while I was surfing around the goodreads pages getting things together, I noticed that while the US and UK covers are basically the same (minus the weird glow around the hand in the UK one), there is a different cover for the French version, so let's compare that one to the English version!

English
French
I actually like both of these covers. The English version is different and creepy, since the hand looks pale and dead. I really like that it's a bit different than most of the covers out there. On the other hand (haha), the girl on the French cover is hella creepy. Look at her hand! It look kind of like an alien and I really don't want her to touch me with it. Overall, I'm actually really undecided on this one. I like the English cover because it's different from other covers, but I actual think the French cover is creepier. What do you guys think?

  2. I like both covers, because they have things I like. I like how the French title has that little pop of pink and how small they kept the font. I like it when the authors name is more subtle, because I don't need a reminder who has written it - that's also on the spine and inside te book. What I like about the English cover is how the title looks like a tattoo :) and the blue background is so pretty!

  4. As much as I kind of despise people on the cover of books, I prefer the French one ... it's very creepy and so much better than a random hand.

  5. That girl on the French cover is super creepy, not sure I like it, but perhaps it will grow on me. Both the U.S. and the English covers are really dramatic.

  6. I'm loving the French cover - that girl is so creepy, from her eyes to her hands, even her positioning! I think it has me wanting to read the book more than the English one does.

  7. Unlike nearly everyone else, I love the English one WAY more than the French. Partly because I dislike people on book covers but also because I just love how the English one is v. different and has a cool font.
