PRC: Dragons

The summertime fun of lounging on the beach with our mermaid reads may be over, but heading in the direction of fall means we're also heading in the direction of dragons!

Most books I've read with dragons have been of the traditional, fearsome kind (think Harry Potter), although one of my favourite series of my childhood centered around a number of still-fearsome talking dragons: The Enchanted Forest Chronicles by Patricia C. Wrede. My most recent interactions with dragons have come from watching Game of Thrones and playing Skyrim.

This month my dragon read will be Returner's Wealth by Paul Stewart & Chris Riddell.

  1. I haven't read many books with dragons in them. I really ought to pick one up soon.

  3. The Enchanted Forest Chronicles where some of my favourites as a child, read and reread more times than even Tamora Pierce's Immortals series. Can't wait to see everybody's dragon books :).

  4. I don't think I've read much with dragons, minus Harry Potter. A friend of mine LOVES them though so I think she'd like some of these new titles coming out.

  5. I think I may skip dragon month only because I started Under the Never Sky and I am really enjoying it and I have a feeling I'm going to have to read book 2 right after it AND Book 9 of The Walking Dead just arrived and I've been waiting since last December...but I did review a vampire book so that kind sort of counts right ;)

  6. "The Last Dragonslayer" by Jasper Fforde was seriously awesome. I can't imagine why it got so many negative reviews. I think I'm even going to buy the second book so I can read it right away, and I very rarely buy new books. Thanks again for the awesome challenge idea! I would never have read it without "Dragon Month." :)
